Me, Burgers and New York
Helloo lovely readers! I'm finally back to Strawberry Fields Forever after long long escape...Hope you guys enjoy my blog again.
皆さんこんにちは。久しぶりにブログを更新しています。気がつけば最後の投稿から２ヶ月も経ってました。ストックはあるんだけども…それもいつか更新します。
Well the topic I want to write for the first time in a while is momoirs of NY hamburgers. Such a shallow topic... I know but so glad if you stay with me till the end! *this article continues to vol.2
さて久しぶりに書きたくなったことはニューヨークで食べたハンバーガーの回顧録。２回に渡ってお届けします。しょうもないコンテンツだな.......久しぶりということで大目に見てください。

Firstly, when my friend, Maiko and I visited NY last February, we had hamburger for dinner 3 out of 5 times. There are some reasosns. Firstly, higher quality than where we live. Secondly, there are tons of burger shops in the US. Lastly, easy and cheap! Especially, hamburgers are right for us bothering to think about what to eat for dinner at the end of a day.
まずことしの２月にニューヨークを訪れた際、５回の夕食のうち、３回がハンバーガーでした。理由は １、本場だからクオリティが高い ２、ハンバーガーショップが多い ３、手軽で比較的に低価格 旅行中、疲れた1日の終わりにどこで何を食べるかを考えるのってめんどくさいよね。アメリカでハンバーガー……外れなし！こういう考え。
The first hamberger Maiko and I had was Shack Burger from that famous SHAKE SHACK. In the first, we planned to have dinner at SHAKE SHACK in the LaGuardia Airport before heading to hotel. After saying goodbye to my Canadian parents, we left Tronto to New York city on night flight. (Btw their burgers the best) However, our plane delayed about an hour. thanks Air Canada mostly every time I use... When we got to the LaGuardia Airport, SHAKE SHACK on-site was already closed so we ended up wandering around NY city to seek another shop. It was not first time to have shake shack in NY and I've had their burger even in Japan but that was still impressively yummy probably because we were exthousted after long flight.
まず、ニューヨークに到着した夜にシェイクシャックのハンバーガーを食べたよ。トロントのパパとママに別れを告げてピアソン空港からラガーディア空港に向かったしわちゃんと私。夜の９時前にラガーディアに着く予定だったので、ホテルに向かう前に空港内のシェイクシャックで晩ご飯を済ませるつもりでした。が、しかし、案の定エアカナダが遅延。（今まで数えられない程エアカナダを利用している私ですが、何かしらのアクシデントによく巻き込まれる）今回は、飛行機に乗り込んですぐ１時間ほど眠ってしまい、そろそろ着くかなと目を覚ますと実は飛行機がまだ飛んでなかった！なんてことに。実は１時間もの間、飛行機は滑走路をウロウロしてたようで。（ちなみにトロントからニューヨークまでは１時間半くらい）結局、１時間遅れで到着して空港内のシェイクシャックに直行したものの、ギリギリ営業時間に間に合わず… 諦められない私たちは、遅延への怒りと空腹と共にホテル近くのシェイクシャックを探し求め夜のニューヨークを歩き続けるのでした。
そして出逢えたシェイクシャック、もちろんポテトにはチーズをつけて。肉の味をしっかり感じられておいしいよね。日本のシェイクシャックとの違いは分かりませんが、本場で食べてる雰囲気もあって格段においしいDEATH （半沢直樹観ようかな）

The third day of the trip, we found a nice burger shop called 5 Napkin Burger at the end of a shopping day. If you google the best burger shop in NY, you must find this shop in the list with other good restaurants. It is chain store and they have 5 shops in Manhattan so easy to access.
What I like about this burger shop is you can choose putty from chicken, beef, and vegan style. This is a good point of US I think, diverse and giving multiple choice, considering religion or ideologies. (Canada too!) Of course enjoyed hamburger itself but what I loved most is their fried potatoes. They have a few kinds of fries and I chose waffle style. Please McDonald's have it!
３日目、雨の中、たくさん買い物をして歩けないって時に見つけたハンバーガーショップ。5 Napkin Burgerといいます。実際のハンバーガーは下記の写真通り。野菜を摂取できます。ここではパテがチキン、ビーフ、ヴィーガン&グルテンフリーの３種類から選ぶことができたよ。ベジタリアンやヴィーガンに対応していて選択肢が豊富。こういうお店は日本に比べてかなり多いです。多数だけじゃなく少数にまで目を向ける文化がアメリカやカナダの好きなところ。
もちろんハンバーガーも美味しかったけど、一番好きだったのがフライドポテト。ワッフルスタイルといって格子状にカットされています。これはまた食べたいなーと思った。他にこのお店の良さはチェーン店でマンハッタンに５店舗もあること。大量の手荷物と共にストランドブックストアとトレーダージョーズを後にした私たちにとってどれだけありがたかったことか…（ストランドからめっちゃ近いです）
